My Minnesota Woods
This site was created to help private woodland owners make sound, well informed woodland stewardship decisions. Woodland owners can learn how their forest work, how sustainable forest management works, and how they can achieve their forest stewardship goals with confidence and trust in the professionals with whom they work.

University of Minnesota Extension educators and Forest Resources students create, edit, and manage site content.
Minnesota Forestry Association
Our goal is to be a valuable resource for Minnesota’s more than 80,000 private woodland owners. In addition to woodland owners, our constituents include foresters, loggers, educators, businesses, sportsmen/women, conservation organizations, and concerned citizens.
Minnesota Women's Woodland Network
The Minnesota Women’s Woodland Network (MNWWN) provides the opportunity to recognize and enhance the role of women in woodland management, whether they own land themselves, may inherit or purchase land in the future, or who may simply be interested in supporting this effort.
Master Woodland Owner
The Master Woodland Owner program delivers a comprehensive training curriculum for private woodland owners interested in becoming better stewards of their woods.
Wisconsin Tree Farm Committee
There is no cost to joining the Tree Farm program in Wisconsin. The basic requirements include owning at least 10 acres, and having a current forest management plan for your woodland that meets the American Forestry Foundation (AFF) standards for certification.
My Wisconsin Woods
My Wisconsin Woods offer free services that connect landowners to trusted sources of information, property visits, technical and financial assistance, and events and workshops where you can meet like-minded landowners.
Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association
The Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association (WWOA) invites owners of Wisconsin’s private woodlands and those interested in the sustainable management of Wisconsin’s forests to join us. We are woodland owners from all walks of life who have a passion for creating tomorrow’s woodlands today.
